COURTNEY WATSON MCCARTHY is a paper engineer and graphic designer.  With a degree in theatrical scenic design, she has worked as a model builder and designer in a variety of fields before discovering the magic of movable books.  From the time she dissected her first pop-up book, determined to solve the riddle of how it worked, she was hooked.

MARTIN HOWARD is the author of more than fifty books. He has published works on numerous historical figures, as well as producing biographies of Alexander the Great and Christopher Columbus for children.
