Heather Clinkenbeard, PsyD, is a seasoned clinical psychologist specializing in working with those who have been impacted by compulsive sexual behavior, the complex reality of infidelity, and the specific challenges of high-level professionals. She brings her years of experience along with specialized training at one of the nation's top treatment centers for sex addiction and impaired professionals into the therapy room while creating an atmosphere of safety and compassion. Regardless of what brings someone to her office, she is committed to helping both individuals and couples not only heal, but thrive. Passionate about fostering growth, Dr. Clinkenbeard brings a directness to her feedback that is aimed at embracing the ways we can learn from both our mistakes and setbacks, but also deepen one's understanding of the particular lived experience for each client. She believes that everyone has a unique story to tell and that we all deserve to be known in that story.
Dr. Clinkenbeard holds a doctorate in psychology, a master's in psychology, and master's in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary's School of Psychology and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Chapman University. She is licensed in the state of California and currently practices in Newport Beach.
